We don’t need to fly to realize our dreams. Being grounded, and feeling safe and belonging can get us there.
    I really enjoyed this ^_^

Was not 100% on board with "beached" here, but I get what you meant.

Love the cohesiveness and hope in this - from the depths of being roots to realizing the beauty of being grounded, of feeling alive here and now and knowing we are not stranded on this earth. We have allies and family and places of home in so many people.

This lifted my spirits up, thanks for that! :)

Thanks Poet. I think I used "beached" as I hate crowds. I feel like a whale, beached, when I am with crowds that are milling :)

Thank you for always interacting with my words.

Your delicacy and use of descriptive language is a pleasure to read, Tanya.
    Nominated.

All the very best as ever.

Thanks Ben. Appreciate it. Do you run the site? I have a stake in a publishing company and poetry is taking off, wondering about an anthology from this site?

It's a beautiful poem Tanya. And I love and felt the sentiment. The happiness of being with the people we love in places we love to be...where we can be who we are without sugar coating anything.
