I Love That I Am Me

Pain is a force to be reckoned
It tries to steal every piece
Leaving the soul deadened
It takes you like a thief

But I break through the gravity
That's been pulling me asunder
I tear down the walls of the insanity
As I discover all my beautiful wonders

The rainfall comes to an end
So that I can finally see
I no longer have to pretend
And I love that I am me

    I'm not very good at commenting on people's poems, but I want you to know that I really like this poem. It's incredibly important for us to be able to accept and even love ourselves. So far, I haven't gotten to the point in my life where I can say "I love that I am me," but I am so proud of you for working through all your struggles so you are now able to say that.
