Sonnet 16

Sonnet 16
I met the memory of you today,
It was beautiful, as you used to be
We talked and laughed and walked the same way,
We were just as you and I used to be.
The trees saw us and they were fondly glad,
The roads recognised our pace once again,
As if the united heartbeats we had
Were back, ravishing and vernal and sane.
Words were old yet we played them well and new,
As fresh as the buds of this early spring
In a morning that's still covered with dew, Sparkling like your eyes and the joy they bring.
Said I missed you, it said you missed me too
Wasn't sure, was it your memory, or you.
