Dear Dad

by Rita   Jul 13, 2004

Dear Dad,
Hiding me from the world,
Only made me stronger.
Don't try to step back in,
Because you mean nothing any longer.
Your sour attempt at love,
Was always a foolish lie,
Because I know you wouldn't care,
Even if I died.
I gave up everything I had,
Just to make you realize;
If this is what I have to do to make you proud,
Then let it be my suicide.

    Read my poem about my dad. Seems we're in a similar situation.
