No Matter How

by BOB GALLO   Mar 30, 2020

Would you love me forever my French beauty?
Would you whisper the zephyrs of your breath in my ears,
for their sails are hoisted to the winds
of your every words?

Would you look into my eyes and whisper to my soul,
that nothing is wrong,
that still, I, belong!?

Would you announce me within the veil of your eyes,
this bird
that would never settle,
but like the sounds of Elward on your tongue
where
only truth and sweetness belong?

Would you utter my name like his words
and announce me in every ounce of your soul
your flesh, your skin
like a
honey jar brimming over
of sweetness and lust?

Would you caress my skin?
Would you let me sap from the bloom of your fingers
in my senses,
like butterflies when they burst in colourful pleasures,
on my skin
on the skin of my wings?

Could you see how your irises hatch in my eyes
in my burn,
for you?
Would you look at my eyes in your heart
and assure me and insure me that I still live
outside the skin I nest in,
in you,

inside the flesh that I rest
inside the mirror of beauty that we lay our mutual eggs,
where we spawn our ponds?

I would never forget that French eyes
no matter how many time I live or die!
