You Talk to Me Differently

by Kate   Apr 4, 2020

Your words are funnier but
With her they slide right out of your mouth
So smooth, silk on porcelain skin
The blush in her cheeks mimics her blouse

Your words are crueler but
Her laugh, it haunts me in my dreams
Like the way your blue eyes stare
Down my direction but not pointed at me

Do you tell her the things that you tell me?
Does she know what breaks your heart?
You talk to me differently
But the light in your smile makes this so hard
Have you told her your life story?
Told her how much you feel that you’ve bled?
When she asks to explore your mind
Do you also leave her on read?

You talk to me differently

*another song idea I started but can’t seem to finish*
