Only Human

Humans are so caring
When it comes to cope with pain
I have learnt many ways
How they help you up again

When my leg was broken
It was held in place with plaster
Using crutches I could walk
And it made the healing faster

When I accidentally
Cut myself with a knife
I was given stitches
Which I'm sure had saved my life

When I hurt my back
And felt pain beyond belief
A chiropractor helped me
To soon provide relief

Although my latest pain
Is the hardest to endure
And as I'm finding out
That yet there is no cure

For I have a broken heart
Ever since you walked away
I've been told only time will heal
And for a long time it will stay

I know of only one person
Who is able to change this rule
The same one who broke my heart...
I've learnt humans are also cruel
