Sunshine

by Obscure   Apr 14, 2020

The warmth of an orange
soaks into my skin
Its sweetness and comfort
slowly sinks in

The smoothness of caramel
plus spices that singe
The gold of a pear
with the kick of a gin

Rich cream and honey
with buttery toast
Soft fluffy marshmallows
The best kind to roast

The taste of the sunlight
Melts onto my tongue
And new summer memories
have only begun

Aw, this made me smile! I love looking forward to the summer and the senses, the taste and presence of sunshine and what it means, just warmed my heart here.
