Communication at best

by Michael   Apr 15, 2020

Upon my palm, I press my lips
then blow a kiss, that twists and flips
upon your cheek, it lands a blow
and gives your face a rosy glow.
You smile at me, and send one too,
that makes me smile right back at you.
We cannot share our true life space
but just so nice to see your face,
although im here and you are there
we do our best to talk and share.
We laugh and cry, with stories told
where words of warmth, keep out the cold.
We place our hand upon the screen
and close our eyes to hope and dream
that someday soon, you’re at the door
where loving arms will hold once more.

farewell for now, stay safe and well
I love you more, than words can tell.

This is so sweet and endearing, if anything, the ways we communicate perhaps make us stronger in our bond. But it also makes us yearn for more face-to-face interaction, appreciating simply being in the presence of one we love. It's warmed my heart to see the ways family has visited, like nursing homes or such, and how that love can be transported through a window glass.

    Hello Michael,

A darling of a poem and how you have sweetened the outskirts of it with beautiful rhyme is a complete joy to behold. A magnificent love poem rendered forth through the veil of separation. Excellent in all.

    Stay safe.

    Kind regards, Tony.

Michael, I love this! With all this craziness going on and people unable to be physically close to their loved ones. There has been a lot of joking of being stuck at home with your significant other. I am one of the fortunate ones who actually enjoy mine and it's one of the pluses of all of this. Stay well-
