The coffee hymn in the morning |

Just coming back to leave a somewhat decent comment; I really like your word choice in this, there's some sway to it, it's sweet. I love the play between the senses, sight, smell and taste in the second last stanza; I think it did really well to set this poem up to be more 'imaginative' which is driven home by the last stanza, where you write 'if i knew our time together/would mean nothing' which isn't written in a depressing way, but lends credence to the theory that this person you're spending time with isn't real (which makes sense given the title, but it might also be flashbacks to a person who was around). Kind of rambling, so I'll stop here. :) |
