Altered Lives

by RustySoul   Apr 22, 2020

No mind had ever envisaged
All that has befallen us,
A mere virus has shaken the world
Turning the lives into a mess.

Outside world is an empty place,
Home: a new life has begun thus,
Ne'er have we given before
So much meaning to emptiness.

Crippled, though, life may be
Though testing times arise,
Yet, it has taught us how to battle
Truly, a blessing in disguise.

There's also a virus inside our minds
That, first, needs to be destroyed,
To replenish, with love again,
Our hearts that's filled with void.
