Your poems are something I connect with, especially on the level of mental health, and your words touch the heart. The question of how deep the scars go, that scars can hold a different meaning and different memories for so many people... the times we hurt ourselves and that question of trust. If we can ever trust again after facing what we have faced. If we can let ourselves be break out of the bond, out of our shell, and love ourselves the way we deserve. If others are deserving of our trust.

Reflective write. Thank you for sharing this.

It really is a traumatic notion to think our scars are more than just superficial wounds. I hope this was somehow cathartic.

This resonates with me a lot. I’m quite new to this site but I’m very glad to have stumbled upon this poem. Really great and absolutely cathartic. My scars run deep and this really helped validate some of the things I have been feeling.

A very touching take on scars...beautifully penned. Deception has many faces and sometimes the ones that are the closest give us the deepest scars. I can relate to this...I've learnt to tread very carefully.
