Day 36 in Isolation (Senryu)

by Hellon   May 5, 2020

Outside my window
a man and his dog stroll by,
later on a car.

My thoughts as I read the senyru:

    First scenario:
“Did the man exchange his dog for a car?” The man strolls by with dog then the same man passed by with a car. What happened to the dog?

Second, the man and his dog stroll by but then it says later on a car... so both the man and the dog passed by later on a car.

Third, a car subsequently passes by after the man and his dog stroll by.

    Nice. Thanks for sharing.

We really are noticing the small things more now; in us, in the people we live with, tiny things around the house and even slight changes in the weather though we’re spending so much time at home.
Even with few lines you always have depth in your writes :)

Your words pull me in two directions. On one hand I feel a certain degree of emptiness and yearning. On the other a sense of normalcy, before quarantine, when these details made our day to day. Most appreciated!

How we have started to notice that little details that perhaps in other times would not have been noticed. I imagine a calm day, you're sitting at your window, all is kind of silent and then this man, his dog break the still scene and then I can really hear the sound of the car at it pass by in my head.

    Lovely!
