I'm sorry Grandad ©

I'm Sorry Granddad

Here I lie as a girl,
My self-hatred so high,
And happiness so low.

I hardly know myself,
I feel I am my own best friend and my own worst enemy,

So as I crawl upstairs,
Locking myself in my room,
Grasping a picture from my wall and I finally admit defeat,
With tears falling down my face, I cry,
?I'm sorry Granddad I've let you down,
You're so very proud of me, I don't see why.
Granddad in me you see your little girl,
Filled with happiness and love.
I'd not that little girl no more, the one that you once loved,
I'm sorry granddad, I've changed to much!?
