loop.

by prasanna   May 23, 2020

i write of you on borrowed ink,
dream of you on stolen sleep;
time, the penultimate collector –
death the last. in the multiverse,
there’s at least one parallel universe
where time slips backwards,
and we’re destined to meet for
the very first time again. if the
links were to be rearranged,
so we’re destined to meet,
love, fall apart, and meet
for the first time again;

do you think we’d manage to
break the loop?

    The title Loop caught my attention. I must say I wasn't disappointed either. The first two lines start this off strongly.

    where time slips backwards,
    and we’re destined to meet for
    the very first time again

    love this
    Clever piece well penned

    WOW if this is inspired by the prompt the it has outdone it!!!

    Again the period in the title, after loop? It felt like the loop is already broken/closed.
    I love it!!

      I wasn't even thinking about your prompt consciously when I was writing this, but it really does fit! Thank you for prompting this directly/indirectly :)
