Fate

by Sunshine   Jun 8, 2020

Long are the days
of hapless persons.
Even longer their nights.

So let me tell you how sore
my stray feet
how heavy
my unfortunate heart
in the shadow of your aurora.

Touched by streams
of faraway lights
but laden with space,
with wonder and absence.

Your poetry has been on point lately! This is another one i can connect to in some ways or at least my past self could have.

The first stanza is amazingly written because you set up well the emotional tones. And it rings in truth. Hapless people often struggle in the day because emotions often drag them down. Nights are often worse because there is nothing really stopping the overwhelming thoughts that metastasize through us.

You are the shadow following along with this person walking for miles just getting sore feet and a broken heart. It kind of tells me that we will do anything for love even if it hurts us along the way.

You see the light in each person even through the darkness that each person has shown. Even with space and absence.

Absolutely loved the story again here and the depth of the words.
