Missing you

by Chris   Jun 9, 2020

Not a day goes by without severe regret,
Spending every moment I can trying to repay this debt.

I've tried changing so many times, for all the wrong reasons,
For it should have always been for you, my sons.

For you are the reason I am still able to grow,
Cause for the rest of my days, my love I will show.

As my darkness can still linger from time to time,
This change is a my new paradigm.

The smile and joy across your faces this day and all days,
Will keep me straight and narrow everyday.

You are my legacies and gift to this earth,
You are my rebirth.

A lovely poem. I know how it feels to be changed forever because of children.

    All the best.

Children are the greatest gift and seeing them grow,
we too grow and learn many a lesson which we adults learn
    without even learning...a heartfelt write.

^Just one thing, a typo here: This change is a my new paradigm-maybe
remove "a". Unless you meant: This change is a, my new paradigm. Then
add a coma after the a, but removing the a reads better.

    Keep penning!
