This is absolutely beautiful and sad and hopeful. Ugh so many emotions running through me right now. I connect to this poem so much because i have been homeless twice. You never ever want to see a person be homeless because it is horrifying to live through.

I love the intro couplet to the poem itself because it speaks a lot of things. One the narrator of the poem is speaking from a caring voice because they want them to be safe but they are also cautious because of pain thry feel.

More caring lines. You want this person to become more caring themselves and i truly believe being homeless will do that. It makes you humble and open.

I loved the ending here because what you say is the truth. We all need roots to become stable and stability is happiness. To me there are two voices here. Caring and cautious but in the end the caring wins out.
