Clouds Wanting Life

by Maple Tree   Jun 11, 2020

Clouds-

taller than these eyes can envision
as I lay diagonally crossed my billowy bed,
mind sinking tween feathers as the fan
blows teary lashes.

Wanting

to climb, so breathing feels good
not like at present when smoke
covers lies of darkness and other
scary things.

Life

is nothing more than existing
as fingertips lose grasp of yesterday
and tomorrow, limbs grow weaker
when the clouds are so far away.

Hope, it's the only thing left to hang onto and in this write each stanza describes your anxiety and the questions of future. Theres also the bright side of hope...hold onto it,
    Take care ~

Missed your poetry lately, dear Maple... such a heaviness in this, in only existing as the world becomes more suffocating, and you try to cling to the hope of tomorrow and the dreams and sense of freedom that clouds can give. The hope of something greater to hold on to, to gaze at.

    Hugs to you <3
