Alive

Every word was a stitch.

Skin fastened to survival,
bleeding a puddle of poetry.

Every word was a stitch.

Against heartbreak,
lies, my suicide.

Every word was a stitch.

And I am a ragged doll,
putting on the make-up
of a fighter.

It's been a few months! Missed you and your poetry.

The metaphor of the ragged doll was such a clear image, that though you have the stitches and wounds, here you are, surviving. And though you may go through the motions, you are determined to fight. Stitching yourself back together from the trauma, with each word, with each poem...

Inspirational, indeed! Keep letting your voice be heard <3
