For You I Would

If I was your pen
My words for you I'd write
If I was your paper
You'd have them in your sight

If I was an author
You'd read these words of mine
If I was a poet
Then just for you they'd rhyme

If I was romantic
A candle for you would glow
If I was an actor
Then all the lines I'd know

If I was a shooting star
Your wishes would come true
If I could be your sky
The sun would be in view

If I was your light
Your shadow I would reflect
If I became your mirror
Then I would be perfect

You don't have to try
And always will exceed
Whenever you are near
You're everything I need

Although I am just me
And not any of the above
You know I would do anything
For you...the one I love

    Aww, I’m not sure what gotten into me or may be it isn’t me, but you guys ( poets from pnq) that are writing this lovely love poems that are making my heart skip a beat. I truly enjoy the read. I just stumbled upon this line:

    If I a shooting star
    Your wishes would come true
    If I could be your sky
    The sun would be in view

    Did you mean “if I WAS a shooting star?”
