The Week of Resetting

by Tanya Southey   Jun 22, 2020

Somewhere on a peninsula,
near the sea
of forgetfulness
an inner lighthouse
beckons faintly
calling for the return
to shore,
to sure,
to knowing
in all the confusion

And breath
finds its way to the soles
of my feet;
deep, reconnecting
breath travelling
and fuelling the light

And my legs know
before my head
and heart have
realised
that I am being
carried

Back to me

I really like the format of this, the gentle wording and the use of punctuation but without fullstops. It gives it a continues feel; like I’m watching the horizon on that beach.
I love the ending, it made me reflect on myself :)

So glad it resonated for you in these crazy times when it so hard to remember when we are.
