Teach Me To Let Go

by MysteryMan   Jul 2, 2020

Teach me how to let you go
For you’re a master at that
I too wish to move on
Not one glance I wont look back

Show me how not to care
For you its done with such ease
Unlock these intangible shackles
From your hold set me free

Teach me to let go
For Ive held on much too long
Give me the secret to forget you
As if your presence was never known

Show me how be free of you
From where I stand you know it well
Help me to move on from you
My feet walks on but my heart still dwell

Teach me how to dismantle this hurt
I too wish to laugh and smile
I’ve bared this pain far too long
I’ve been here for awhile

Show me how not to live in hurt
When I see you with another
Share your secret to move on
May the strength to let go I’ll uncover

Help me to vacate these wounds
Just as you have done
Even though we’re miles apart
Your presence still lingers on

TEACH ME TO LET GO
For these arms have grown too weak
Unlock these shackles and chains
That surround my arms and feet

Ooh this is so relatable and I doubt there's a single person reading this that hasn't walked a mile or two in these shoes! Well done :-) x
