Haunt

by Love   Jul 9, 2020

I still hear you-
The space that lies between my heart,
And that restless, shadowy distance,
Echoing deadly silence from afar.

The tempo of each memory,
Escapes through my skin.
Seething out haunting, staccato pulses of pain.
That undyingly itch; that aches.
Demanding itself into pleading existence.

Only,
It doesn't tell you...
That secretly deep down below,
It desperately wants to be known.

Known by anybody.
Anybody and everyone.
Everyone, that is...
That is other than you.

Wonderful, descriptive language here to express the 'haunt'.
Small error with 'it desperately wants to me/be known'.
Sad piece, but so well written. :-) x
