Forget you

by jess   Jul 12, 2020

As rain hit the window,
Light begins to fade,
Sitting here thinking,
Of all the mistakes I made.
Allowed you to use me,
Treat me like dirt,
And even when your gone,
It still goddam hurts.
Each and every time,
You took a piece of my soul,
Irreparably damaged,
Never again whole.
From the very first time,
You made me see,
Monsters aren’t under the bed,
Waiting to be free.
There walking among us,
Around any turn,
Just ordinary people,
To make you crash and burn.
Slowly slowly,
To build up your trust,
Before things progress,
Compliance is a must.
They say memories fade,
Prehaps they do,
Its just such a shame,
I cant forget about you.
