a million times more.

dawn is lit by the candle in your heart;
a mango-yellow stains the sky, and i
rouse to your perfume. i catch you
glistening in the first light that sets
your brunette hair on fire. cradled
by sleep, i drift in and out of sleep,
waking to new scenes each time;
your plaited hair drapes over like
an endless waterfall,
a flowy yellow dress adorns you,
you skillfully apply your eyeliner.

with each scene,
i feel my heart palpate,
entangling itself more
in you.

you’re an unexplored poem,
with each verse growing
more beautiful,
more intricate
than the last,

if i could,
i'd recite you
for the rest of
my infinity.

    A lovely piece with some great visuals. I particularly liked the comparison to an unexplored poem with each verse growing more beautiful and more intricate than the last. Milly x
