My Love

by Love   Jul 15, 2020

You still linger,
Right between the shadows of the folding moon.
Taunting me-
Making me want to crawl deep;
Inside the darkest depths of you.

My Love,
Cascade your glow into a luminescent bow,
Left upon the ashes of a million stars,
And fall right inside of me.

Just like a hopeless dream...

Maybe then,
(Once again),
I can learn how to feel.

I want to be anyone other than,
This lonely soul, who...
Teeters on the brink of existence,
And the edge of a never ending wish;
Who pleads for a non-existent tomorrow.

    This one really touched me! I feel just like this! You really captured the feeling of just missing them so much that you're ready to embrace them and become one with them. But they're gone and you're left alone. Great job! As always!

    A beautifully touching poem. I can feel the sadness in every line. There's a sense of loss here that I think most of us can relate to. Take care.
