The Mood of Music

by BOB GALLO   Jul 17, 2020

This is
the Saba’s* weft of waft
weaving and alloying in the golden woofs of orchards,
the citrus of ascending aurora
upon the throne of dawns:

the red wine of poetry,
the very blood of grandeur
in the chalice of daylight,

the mood of music
in the cords of feelings

this is to meet the essence of meaning
this is to chime the chants of feeling
this is the surge of sweetness
in the heart of sugarcanes,
this is the utterance of the chests of Hafez
this is the entrance
of the Name of Azam**

==

*) Saba, Is the softest wind in my father land Shiraz that Hafez always refers to.
**) The Name of Azam: the secret nam of God.
