The eye in your dream

by Star   Jul 18, 2020

There was no fog
just shades of gray
folding around you,
I couldn't look into your eyes
so I just watched over you.

***

This time
we both could smell
the damp wood,

the sound of leaves
chattering
hollowed your soul.

Thorny stems
pierced your body.

Heavy ripples
echoed
in this abyss void,

as you were
trudging over
dense liquid
that reeked of iron.

You knew
there is no way out
of this labyrinth,

and in every corner
you'd see my face
that now
you could recognize.

You kept moving;

for you feared
you’d never
.
.
.
.
wake up.
