Growing Old, In the arms of Nature

by Maple Tree   Jul 20, 2020

It's all in how the leaf falls
as breezes swift, silently
echoing ambiance messages
and toned silence.

I am nothing without the sun
cradling my soul, bathing in
moonlight and meditating
with crickets song.

Walking barefoot upon fallen
twigs and crunchy things-
awakens life as if to say
"embrace me- for I am nature"

I listen; I'm the child of pebbles
and flowing rivers,
songs of the Ocean-
a miracle of stars.

Waiting for seasons
to replay like an ongoing novel,
rewriting my evolving spirit
as dandelions nestle for a nap
within my peppery hair.
