H2Oh-no!

by Walter   Jul 22, 2020

I'm a water droplet
And in a cloud I form
I have done this many times
Evaporate and transform

Nature's learnt the way
So with life I can assist
With all the plants and animals
That needs me to exist

This makes me feel important
I am treated with respect
I'm part of a precious cycle
And never felt neglect

Nature co-operates
And willing to always give
Then it will only take
Just what it needs to live

For years this has happened
With the forest down below
I have constantly recycled
So all the life can grow

But on one windy day
The winds blew with such force
To a new destination
That's totally off-course

When I look below
On the ground it was all grey
There were no plants or animals
And I didn't want to stay

My cloud no longer ominous
Suddenly becoming thin
With hardly enough water droplets
For rain to now begin

We all refuse to fall
And stayed within our cloud
Until pollution attacked
And made us overcrowd

Forcing us to jump
To whatever is down below
Not knowing what to do
As there is nothing there that grows

I land onto a road
Then pour into a drain
Where it is so filthy
And for a long time I remain

I'm now used in machinery
To try and keep things cool
Apparently humans need me
Whenever burning fuel

Chemical contamination
Showing no restrain
I have become so dirty that
Nature won't use me again

I now live in a container
Where I'll never see the light
And all my years helping nature
Thanks to man will end tonight
