Twin Hearts

by Gracy Judith   Jul 27, 2020

after I journey
life's melancholic ocean,
my wayfarer heart
arrives your shores all asunder.
fragment by fragment
you mend it,
place it inside yours,
and it beats
like waiflike clusters of stars
pulsing the stark dark night into cheerful light.
our vestige of togetherness,
a fervid flame--kindling.
our twin hearts
beating as one

"..your palms wear tenderness / as you gather my strewn fragments" - loved this image! You are so descriptive.
