I'm just about at a loss for words. The similes in this, the imagery, all of it is so vivid and hard to swallow. Hard to read. The opening lines especially felt raw and desperate, and the second half of the poem felt more softened. Almost like a surrender. A plea to see the stars or some kind of guidance or light. A plea for understanding. I really resonated with the mention of your mind spinning, and how devastating it is to get lost and trapped in a memory, the way it can unsettle and unhinge us. And we just want to destroy or bury or drown that memory.

So emotional, thank you for sharing this.

A hard hit to the gut. I love this for how raw and emotional it is.
