Golden Snake

by Aiko (Dreamsurfer)   Aug 14, 2020

One day, I was praying fervently.
Then in my left ear,
I felt a force of whispers,
They were not holy.
I resisted the thoughts.
My sixth sense told me there was something weird nearby.
So when I turned my head left,
I saw a golden snake about five metres away,
It turned and ran away fast on concrete.
I bolted out of the sitting room after it.
Serpent disappeared below the green fence thicket.
The tail was thinner than the front and belly.
Something in me believed it was the same Devil that tempted JESUS.
Snakes around here are green, yellow or black,
Not golden.
