The Week of Music

by Tanya Southey   Aug 16, 2020

I remember as
a child, learning
that sound waves
never die

Perhaps a million miles
from here
that voice
is still echoing
through the universe

Just like the notes
of the song
the vibrato,
the trill,
the harmony
of the guitar and voice
in deep dialogue
of joy and sadness

Bittersweet yearnings
of times gone by
and still to come
