My homeland

by Ziad Dib Jreige   Aug 18, 2020

My homeland

A silent breeze I woke and flew
Upon my beloved homeland
With a heart filled with darkish blue

I saw virtues had turned to sand
And the malignant had took charge
With a greedy hungry hand

People's hope had lost the marge
And the child had died in the womb
Of a pregnant of no discharge

A breeze I went and saw the doom
A raging tempest I came back
To avenge the innocent womb
