Fading

by Star   Sep 8, 2020

Moonlit clouds tailored a silver sky,
peaking stars shadowed her face.

For the first time she took the stand
and boldly spoke her mind.

The stillness around robbed her tears,
as her voice slowly lost its sound.

Darkness swirled down her bare feet,
so she unleashed the shadows she tamed.

She called for the creatures of the night,
as grayish trees dismissed her sigh.

Trapped in this universe,
the golden eyed owl
was the only witness
of her fall.
