Tranquil Nights (Sonnet)

by Kasie   Sep 18, 2020

Bedazzled are the stars that wink at me,
While dancing under twilight chandeliers;
Embracing ev’ry flaw that I foresee,
Subduing all my anxious thoughts and fears.

The mesmerizing shimmers of the night,
Distract me from my insecurities;
And transform all my darkness into light,
By calming ev’ry pain and misery.

Tranquility is what I long to keep,
Each night I wish upon the twinkling stars.
A vision of the peaceful life I seek,
Beyond the anxious depths and battle scars.

The beauty of the night can be serene,
Defeating all the darkness of your dreams.
