Neurodivergent

by Lindsay   Sep 22, 2020

Please disregard my outlandish hang-ups.

I loathe tight, fitted clothes.
Squeezing me;
like a snake constricting my blood stream.
Clinging to my skin with its stiff embrace.

As I oppose casual conversations.
Momentary silencing;
like voices of a crowd fading out.
Locking their eyes waiting with awe searching.

The constant, clamor of sound.
Pitter-pattering;
Like screws loose inside a ceiling fan.
Disrupting all wavelengths into chaos prevailing tones.

It's merely a few minor oddities;
mainly.

    This ending nailed it perfectly, with "mainly". My smile of empathy was real.
