A Moment

by D.   Oct 1, 2020

A solitary raindrop
rolls down your left cheek
from the corner of
your eye -

there is a hole
in the roof of the bus
shelter

you hesitantly peel
a tangerine;
hold a segment
to your lips,

we are perhaps
transfixed
by different
things

as world whirs by
in slow motion.

You are not masked
and everything is
distant

except us.

    Daniel,
Certainly a timeless moment, with a gentle structure. Great to read your poems again

Well done, Daniel. Is there a possible typo in 'as world'? I believe a 'the' would fit very snugly indeed between that lovely use of alliteration! :)

All the best as ever, good man.
