A slap in the face What to do? Slap number one Your fears are true Slap number two It gets forgotten Despite your scars And feelings so rotten Slap number three It’s all your fault This brings your world To a crashing halt You don’t understand They promised aid But seemingly your healing They will avidly evade Why are you the one Who needs to change When they were wrong It seems so strange You’re just a broken girl Picking up pieces from your life So why are they adding To your troubles and strife I think I’m starting by To their vision see It’s not about them But who you’ll be You have no control Over the actions of others Only your own choices Are you allowed to cover We must learn to let go Of the pain and the hate Or we will get their Very worst traits In a world where no one Ever really seems to care We must let others and ourselves Our hard burdens bear Or we will just grow Into hate and anger As we become to ourselves An untrustworthy stranger It’s easy to paste on Yet another hiding mask To play it so safe So we don’t get attacked I know that this Is far beyond hard But we must change And show that we’re scarred
