Sinking

by Skyfire   Oct 4, 2020

I
am half-built
with metal staples
falling from my
tongue
and steel spines
twisting through
my flesh
to keep me upright.
I try
to claw
my way free
of the mess
as timbers break
and vessels
burst -
but I find I
am caving in
from all the empty
cavities
left as I subjectively
impale myself
and
plunge
to my
death.

A dark and deliciously written piece in terms of the visuals you create -

    I
    am half-built
    with metal staples
    falling from my
    tongue
    and steel spines
    twisting through
    my flesh

    ^^

    I particularly liked this part.

    All the best

A very visual write which makes me feel this pain as I read and does give you that sinking feeling. Nicely written!
