What Is Love

What is love
When I ask you
If what you said
Is really true

Love is the joy
The smile of seeing
The feeling of loneliness
When they are gone

Love is the longing
To be near to them
To have them care
As you care for them

Love is not totally hating them
When they messed up
When you're mad at them
When you want to hate them

Love is being there
Whenever you can
To support and help guide
To the best of your ability

Love is messy
Not always returned
But it is wonderful
And so meaningful

So be careful
Before you say you love
Because if you don't mean it
You can break their soul
