Imaginary

If I was just a shadow
And saw you walking by
I would then reach out to you
And you would not deny

You probably wouldn't notice
Your head never looking down
But both our shadows dancing
Like we own this town

Even though a slight distance
Our shadows still interact
I see you move right through me
Although we don't react

Now our hands touching
And your face is close to mine
There is no hesitation
As we intertwine

Moments don't last forever
And I'm sad when this is lost
Feeling like I held you tightly
When our paths just crossed

But perspective is a strange thing
Not once did you look at me
Even though both of our shadows
Were mingling happily
