Each time I wake with a heavy heart
Although my sleep is only light
I need no reminder with my eyes closed
The morning no longer invites

Just like a nightmare my sensors come to
I so wish it was just a dream
How can I accept the life I now live?
Where nothing is what it seems

With no path laid my direction is lost
I only follow what I once knew
I no longer move forwards as it leads to my past
The only place I know to find you

You still make me smile when I think of you
To the only reality I know
As with present time I cannot accept
That now I have to let you go

You once touched my heart and so gently inscribed
Your signature of love I would wear
But when you left me you claimed it was yours
And left my heart heavy though completely bare
