Airplane Mode

by Walter   Oct 26, 2020

You asked me to write to you
While you are away
Though time apart is not that long
But enough to count each day

Of course I smiled and promised you
That I would not forget
My words already written down
And only now that you've just left

I sit alone in our car
Still within the parking bay
Where I was already missing you
Before you went away

And you will be busy there
With errands you have to do
I don't think you'll be missing me
As much as I miss you

I hope my words reach out to you
Though wish they were my hands
And no barrier will stop our love
Even when it's air and land
