The Chasing of a Child

by Everlasting   Oct 28, 2020

blankets on the floor
some pillows falling off the bed
a child running to the door
while screaming with arms above her head

a mom chanting up her name
repeating “Here I come!”
the child giggling without a shame

balls thrown up in the air
a foot tripping with some toys
the mom winking a painful stare

the child running towards mom
tears flowing from her cheeks
while redness appears on her palm

the mom giving her a kiss
the child now jumping, asking to be chase
turning this bad moment into bliss

A wonderful scene of mother and child. A scene I'm sure actually happened, too!
Reading this reminded me these two facts: a child's first love is her mum and this love is unconditional.

    All the best X
