This is so good ...and relateable. I think we all have darker days, then wonder if it is something like tiredness, exhaustion or , as your poem goes, Winter, when really it's just yourself. Excellent. |

May be... it is just you? |
Very relatable to correlate colors with perception and how our state of mind is affected. I'm so used to your longer poems, that this almost made my heart ache MORE, because it feels like a part of you is defeated. Thinking that it could just be winter, and therefore the cold and dark is more prevalent, or wondering if despite winter, even if it was another season, would it still be like this? It can be discouraging trying to attribute it to one thing. The doubts, the uncertainty. The use of "just" here to almost downplay it was even more sad, because it's not something we can will ourselves to change. With seasonal depression, there can be tips and tricks to help it, but it can absolutely feel debilitating and something we just have to roll with until there are brighter moments that are more easy for us to latch on and warm up to. |

Michael, totally get this. The winter months are really hard on all of us people that need the sun. This is really beautiful though. Hugs- |
