Speak (please don't)

by Poet on the Piano   Nov 20, 2020

Swallow it,
the guts and
intestines that
aren't yours.

Hold your tongue
in case they spill out,
the raw memories
and toxic tastebuds
of our youth.

Swallow all you want
to say, so you don't
become another
genetic wasteland.
