    I take it that “salve” is some sort of ointment?

    His rondeau was moving to say the least. It’s definitely well written. I’m glad it inspired this poem.

      Yes that's right, "an ointment used to promote healing of the skin or as protection"

      Thanks, there is nothing quite like a salve to soothe the pain. Personally, I like Nitrous oxide! :)
